Communications 201
A guide to experienced field leaders’ and mentors’ core communications practices. This course will teach mid-level managers and mentors how to leverage the following mid-level communications concepts and practices to develop their interns and junior level team members: the functional and meaning-centered approaches, as well as 21st-century emerging perspectives of organizational communications. COMM 201 will be rounded off with tips for effective communications.
Communications 202
In continuation of the precepts outlined in COMM 201, this course will demonstrate how mentors and instructors can demonstrate tactics for forming interpersonal relationships between supervisors and employees, between peers, and amongst diverse staff. Best practices for increasing interpersonal relationships through the understanding of diversity, cultural differences, and good listening guidelines will also be demonstrated. COMM 201 and COMM 202 will be rounded off with tips for effective communications.
Instruction for both courses will be delivered via a combination of face-to-face and online methods, and tailored to organizational course-length requirements.
